When did you start CrossFit?

Favorite movements?
I love anything involving a barbell! Deadlifts, back squats, cleans, squats, etc. It makes me feel powerful.

Least favorite movements?
Burpees and running. Especially if they are together!

How did you end up at Jayhawker?
When I was moving to Kansas, I had only been doing CrossFit for two months, but I knew that I loved it. I researched gyms before I got here, and Jayhawker stood out, and it was close to home.

What keeps you coming back?
The community, the coaching, the adrenaline rush! It’s addicting to push yourself further than you ever thought you could go before. I’ve never been athletic or enjoyed fitness of any kind. But there is something about CrossFit that just keeps me coming back for more, and I would not have it any other way!

What are your fitness goals right now?
I’ve been dealing with a past injury, which has caused me to focus less on new PRs and more on technique. My goal for 2018 is to do at least one unassisted pull-up.
What do you when you’re not at the gym?
I work at Earthbound on Mass. Street, but most of my time is spent binge watching Gilmore Girls for the umpteenth time, reading, and hanging out with my husband and three pups!
